Managing Director of D3SIGNS PTE LTD, Mr. Benjamin Low, is invited to become a member of the judging panel at the Real Business Weekend held at Singapore Management University (SMU) on 25th January 2015 organized by the SMU Real Business Club.
The latest initiative by the SMU Real Business Club, Real Business Weekend, will be an event where students from various universities come together to share their start up ideas and receive feedback from their peers and mentors. Aspiring student entrepreneurs, programmers and creative innovators can find out whether their ideas are viable in the real market.
The main objective of the event is to bring students together for a weekend long experiential workshop to pitch their ideas, form teams, and start companies. Accompanied by the theme ‘Education’, the participants are free to create their own strategy with their new teammates and test it on the event itself as they progress. In this way, participants get to learn, network, experience and have fun during the course of the event.
Happening over the weekend, from 23rd January to 25th January 2015, the event will begin with an open mic pitch concept. The participants will bring their best ideas forward and inspire the other participants to join their team for the weekend. Over the next two days, the teams will be focusing to create and design a business model, validate on their ideas, access customer development and build a minimum viable product.
The panel of judges will then be giving expert and valuable feedback on the final day, and the participants stand to win prizes at the end of the event. Real Business Weekend will be another opportunity for the SMU Real Business Club and Mr. Benjamin Low to collaborate on such events. Judging for Real Business Weekend will also be a great way to give back to the local entrepreneurial community.
